Languages and Translation

The need to make LDS Auxiliary Assistant available to customers in non-English speaking parts of the world has long been recognized.  It has also been recognized that customers often desire to customize the text on rosters, rolls, and reports. The Phrase Editor has been created to meet both these needs.

Some people may speak English as a second language, and may desire simply to make rosters, rolls, and reports available to their presidencies and bishoprics in their native language.  Others may choose to fully translate the entire software into their native language so that an incoming secretary, who doesn't speak English, will be able to use the software.

No matter how extensive your customizations or translations may be, we encourage you to share them with other customers.  Send them to us, and we will package them into an installer that others will be able to freely download from the LDSAuxiliaryAssistant.com web site in order to apply your customizations to their software.

See Chapter 11 of the User Documentation, included with your software, for more information on how to use LDS Auxiliary Assistant's Phrase Editor in order to create your own customization or translation.

Once your customization or translation is complete, using the steps outlined below, please email the following to LDSSupport@gmail.com:

·        The file AuxAsst.mdb (as an attachment). It is located in

C:\Program Files\AuxiliaryAssistant\<your edition>\data

·        Your name & e-mail address, and the edition of the software (i.e. Young Women, etc.).

·        Your country and the language you translated into.

·        What portions of the software you translated:  i.e. just rosters, rolls, and reports; the whole software, etc.

Language and customization packs will be posted on this page as they become available.
